Jamie Oliver's Sticky Carrots Recipe

This is a super easy and tasty snack to make, all you need to get is some fresh carrots, everything else you should already have in your kitchen. Yet this simple dish has the ability to put a smile on your/someone's face!

Carrots - 800g
Sea Salt 
Freshly ground Black Pepper
20g of butter
Couple of bay leaves (I didn't have any, so I cooked without)

Wash and peel the carrots, cut into 3-4cm chunks, place them in a saucepan standing up snugly. Place the butter on top of the carrots, tug the bay leaves in between the carrots, season well with salt and pepper, then add enough water to come half way up the carrots, bring to boil.

Turn the heat down to a simmer with a lid on for 15-20min. After the carrots are cooked though, remove the lid and reduce the liquid down for half an hour (only took me about 15min), when the bottom of the carrots are sticky brown, turn them over onto a plate and voilĂ !
